Obviously I don't have enough money for a F40, which is my dream car. What would be the layman's F40? Under 30k maybe? I was thinking E92 M3.

MR2 SW20 Turbo.
Small, light, and Turbo!

The E92 is more of the layman's F430. Both have high-revving N/A V8s that are between 4-4.3L.
Layman's F40 would need to be turbo. Not really any turbo V8s for under $30K that I can think of. Can a used STi be converted to RWD? That would be like a sedan with half the F40's engine, haha

Turbo Gen 2 Toyota MK2.
Why?
Red Mid-Engined Turbo Manual RWD Performance car with a spoiler and pop up head lights.
But which car was I referring to?

I'd say a 3rd gen. RX7, pretty similar aside from the FR layout, I mean both are maual, rear-drive, turbo charged crazies that don't have much going for them electronically, in the same way a laymans Porsche 959 would most likely be a dodge stealth RT/TT/ Mitsubishi 3000 GT VR4

It's all about presence. Does the MR2 really make that much of it's presence known?

Wait what? You just want to pose?

If you want a posemobile, get a pickup truck, lift it sky high, put big diesel stacks on it even if it's gas, every chrome accent you can find, and a flame paint job.

Analog-ish, lightweight, high revving, mid-engine coupe under 30k? Decade old 911.
